In September, I headed out to an adorable little church in the country with my friend Taylor Kanary as my sidekick for the day.
I photographed Annelise & Kris’ engagement session in October 2014 at Miquelon Lake, and it was awesome! It was so easy to get genuine photos of them, and I got so many adorable shots of them laughing, which are my favourite.
When I found out that they were going to do a first look on their wedding day, I was even more excited, because I knew that Kris would have such a great expression when he saw Annelise. Anytime I was around them, I could tell that they just love eachother so much, I’m pretty sure I had a goofy grin on my face their entire wedding day, ha ha.
Thank you two so much for having us photograph your wedding, it was an absolute joy to be a part of.
Finally I can share some of the photos from our trip to Jasper & Banff!
For my work experience at NAIT in my last semester, one of my mentors had a maternity session in Jasper. Luckily, Luke had the weekend off so we packed our bags and headed to Jasper. It was a ton of fun, even though we had to wait out some rain during the session.
If you don’t know me that well, I’ll let you in on a fun fact about me. I LOVE mountains. I love them most when I get to go snowboarding, but driving through them and exploring is pretty awesome too. One of my favourite things is how quiet it can be out there. For those who do know me I am quite a bubbly and energetic person, but yes, I do enjoy quietness once in awhile.
Being out there and taking photos made me reaaaaallly want photograph a wedding or any type of portrait session out there. So if anyone is looking for that, you should definitely let me know!
On our way home, we decided to take the long way back and go all the way down through to Banff & Lake Louise and then back to Leduc. It was a lot of driving but so worth it. Thanks Luke for doing most of the driving ❤
Here are some of my favourite photographs from the trip.
This was one of my favourite places we explored on the trip. We drove by a couple times in the first two days on our way between Jasper and Hinton, and when it was going to be our last time I couldn’t resist pulling over to stop and take some photos. From what I have heard this is actually Jasper Lake, but it was pretty dried up at the time. Still absolutely gorgeous, especially where there was some water, like in the photo below.
I wasn’t behind the camera the whole trip, Luke is getting pretty good with it!
