From the moment these two emailed me and I heard some of the details about their wedding I looked forward to this day, and after their engagement session I looked forward to it even more! Ashley and Chris said I do on a beautiful August day on Ashley’s parents’ farm out near Pigeon Lake and it was so awesome, if you know me, you know I LOVE rustic weddings, so a farm was a dream come true!
I think all their friends and family would agree that Chris driving up to the ceremony on a quad was the best entrance ever. After the ceremony as we were doing bridal party photos, I ended up getting stung by a wasp on my finger and it swelled up like fat little sausage, haha! Shoutout to Ashley and her bridesmaids for offering me a drink and some ice for my finger when we got back to the reception, and to the guests who had a fancy Benadryl pen on hand, I felt very taken care of! It was totally worth it, I mean look at the portraits we took, they are gorgeous. I later learned that wasps are apparently attracted to yellow and white, and I was wearing a yellow dress! So there is a little tip for ya. Our beautiful bride Ashley even got stung along with some other guests. I think we can all agree that the wasps weren’t going to ruin this day though.
The reception was held in Ashley’s Dad’s shop, which was absolutely stunning. Again, it was a photographer’s dream for me as it was all white, the light in there was just perfect. We ended the night with a fireworks show put on by Ashley’s brother AJ, that was a first for me!
Congratulations you two, I wish you a lifetime of happiness. Your wedding will be one to remember!
Special shout out to my amazing second shooter Gen for helping to photograph this day.
As I posed Ashley here, Chris said “You look SO hot right now” it was adorable. And he is right, his new wife is a stunner!
When Chris and the groomsmen put Ashley up on this chair during Rasputin by Boney M, it had to be one of my favourite moments of the night, it was so perfect and I love her expression in these photos!
