It is SUPER exciting, but also a bit nerve wracking when your sister’s best friend asks you to photograph one of the most special days of her life. Ashley is basically a second older sister to me. 12 year old me wanted to hang out with her cool older sister and her friend more than anything. So many memories and inside jokes, and now we all got to share the awesome memories made on this day.
As I was driving into Edmonton, it was raining pretty hard. By the time we were heading to the ceremony at the gorgeous Greystone Gardens Bed and Breakfast, the skies were clear. There were some dark scary looking clouds off in the distance as the ceremony began. I thought they were far away, so we would be ok right? Ohhhh boy. First there was some really loud thunder…then it started to sprinkle…and the next thing I knew everybody was running for cover because it was POURING! But Ashley and Wade weren’t going to let this ruin their day, not even a little bit. They were just so stoked to be getting married. It was such a beautiful thing to see. They finished up the ceremony on the porch of the bed and breakfast surrounded by their soaked loved ones, and it was awesome. Ashley, you were such a stunning bride. I mean take a look at that floral crown! Wade, you are one lucky guy!
Thank you again for having me photograph your wedding day. It was amazing, even though the skies opened up on us. It was kind of hilarious and made for such a good story. I will never forget it! So happy for you two.
Shout out to my sidekicks Gen and Nicole for helping to create these beautiful images.
